Canada’s Trucking Industry

The following infographic from Canada Cartage shows the research into the current state of the North American trucking industry and predicts what the future supply and demand gap for drivers will be by the year 2020. The graphic analysis was developed using statistics from Transport Canada and reveals that the expected demand for drivers is severely out of balance with the expected supply of professional drivers in Canada by the year 2020, creating what the industry has been predicting as a massive ‘driver shortage’ in the very near future.
